More than four million foreigners visited Ukraine last year. This indicator is higher than in the previous year, but 3.5 times lower than it was before the pandemic.
Over four million foreign tourists visited Ukraine in 2021. This is almost 26 percent more than in 2020, the State Tourism Development Agency (DART) reported on Thursday, January 20.
Most foreigners came to Ukraine from Moldova, Russia, Poland, Belarus and Romania. On average, during a 7-9 day stay, foreign tourists spent almost a thousand dollars.
Citizens of the UAE spent the most money – more than two thousand dollars every day. Citizens of Saudi Arabia and Oman spent an average of 1,500 dollars each, Canadians – 1,200 dollars, and travelers from the USA – 1,100 dollars each.
