The SBU liquidated the network of botfarms with an audience of 200,000

Date:

Workers across the country spread misinformation.

Cyber specialists of the Security Service of Ukraine exposed an interregional network of bot farms that spread disinformation in order to destabilize the socio-political situation in Ukraine. In particular, they spread false reports about terrorist attacks in Ukrainian cities and “mining” of objects with a mass gathering of people.

“The perpetrators tried to discredit the activities of the top military-political leadership of our country in the conditions of war,” the press service of the SBU clarifies.

To “disperse” fakes, anonymous accounts were created in social networks with a total audience of almost 200,000 users.

Currently, nine bot farms in different cities of Ukraine have been neutralized, and their organizers have been exposed.

On the basis of the collected evidence, it is planned to notify the accused of suspicion under the article “unauthorized interference with the operation of computers”.
