Three ambulances (type C) worth UAH 8.4 million and 98,982 chemical heaters (16,000 – for the body, 40,800 – for the legs, 42,182 – for the hands) for almost UAH 5.4 million were purchased by Medical Procurement of Ukraine for funds raised through the UNITED24 platform. This decision was adopted by the commission on allocation of funds to meet the needs of health care.
In total, since May 2022, the funds collected through the UNITED24 platform have been used to purchase: 136 ambulances. Chemical heaters have been added to the general list. They will be delivered within a month.
Priority during distribution remains the frontline regions, the regions most exposed to rocket and artillery fire.
“Obviously, seasonal needs are added to the challenges of the war, so to speak – in the east of the country it is “hot” and cold at the same time. In addition, more than 500 “ambulances” were destroyed or damaged, so the purchase of emergency vehicles is always relevant,” says Maria Karchevych, Deputy Minister of Health for Digital Development.
