Ukraine is concerned by reports that the International Monetary Fund plans to resume cooperation with the Russian Federation and send a mission to Moscow, declared in the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

“We call on the IMF not to resume any cooperation with Russia and to remain committed to the goals and principles of the UN Charter. We appeal to all key stakeholders, member countries and the management of the IMF with a call to isolate the aggressor state even more and not to resume dialogue as long as the Russian Federation kills civilians, children, destroys not only Ukraine, but also international rules and principles in general,” the message reads. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine in the Telegram channel.

The department also emphasized that for the main financial institution of the UN, “it would be absurd to legitimize the Russian regime, which actually destroyed the very foundations of the UN Charter, starting the biggest war of aggression in Europe since the Second World War and committing terrible atrocities against the Ukrainian people.”
