Ukraine will summon the ambassador of Hungary because of Orban’s statement

Date:

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine will summon the ambassador of Hungary to Ukraine in connection with the “absolutely unacceptable” statements of the Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orbán about Ukraine.

About this stated press secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Oleg Nikolenko.

Nikolenko wrote on Facebook that Orban said that Ukraine is a no man’s land and compared it to Afghanistan.

“Such statements are absolutely unacceptable. “Budapest continues a deliberate course aimed at destroying Hungarian-Ukrainian relations,” Nikolenko was quoted as saying by Reuters.

“The Hungarian ambassador will be summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine for a frank conversation. We reserve the right to take additional measures in response.”

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said on state radio that Budapest would veto any European Union sanctions against Russia related to nuclear energy, Reuters reported on January 27.
