Ukrainians opened a charity association in Austria. They help children.

Date:

Schoolchildren from front-line Krasnohorivka received power banks for distance learning

To say that the moment the full-scale invasion began was shocking would be an understatement.

Thousands of victims, destroyed homes, schools, kindergartens, entire cities and villages burned to the ground, as a result of the imperial policy of world leaders.

Millions of refugees left Ukraine. Changed their calm, peaceful life for conditional status in new countries.

Women and children, men, pensioners, disabled people, all who had the opportunity to save their lives, went on a long trip around the world – Europe, Canada, the USA, usually holding children, a kitty or a dog, a small suitcase and documents – all that was left.

Of course, each of them has their own sad story, but everyone also remembers overcrowded evacuation trains, refugee reception centers at train stations, living in camps, processing documents, finding housing, learning a language and hundreds of everyday problems.

However, they remained alive and saved their children and relatives, no matter how difficult it was, and they are definitely grateful to the countries and their residents who sheltered and helped in the most difficult moments of the national history.

However, Ukrainians would not be Ukrainians if they did not self-organize and start acting.

So, in 2023, a charitable association was opened in the capital of Austria.United hearts“. It became a product of self-organization of people who firmly believe in good deeds, mutual aid and focus on children.

Children, regardless of nationality, place of birth, residence, language of communication or preferences, and everyone, without exception.

During the short period of activity of the association, a lot has been achieved: from providing practical assistance to schoolchildren in the front-line Krasnohorivka, Transcarpathian orphanages, systematic provision of medical equipment to domestic hospitals, to conducting free excursions, quests, lunches, entertainment events in Austria, participation in the UN global children’s support program.

The fact that the association relies on its own strength, consolidating everyone who cares about a happy future deserves special attention. Regardless of language of communication or place of birth.

And the results are tangible, just pay attention to the happy smiles.
