Vitaliy Klitschko responded that he supports the petition, “given the full-scale invasion of Russia and the war.”
Work is currently underway on the inventory of land plots leased or used by organizations that promote or deny the fact of Russian aggression.
A decision on refusal to grant land plots to such religious organizations is submitted for consideration by the Kyiv City Council.
However, an additional reason is required to terminate the lease. In particular, the Verkhovna Rada should adopt draft law No. 8371, which makes it impossible to operate “religious organizations, whose management center is in a state that carries out armed aggression against Ukraine.
After that, Kyiv landlords will be able to start the process of terminating lease agreements with the UOC MP.
