The Minister of Social Policy of Ukraine, Oksana Zholnovych, predicts the launch of the new joint pension system from July 2025.
“I am sure that the new solidarity system will start working in July 2025, and immediately after the end of the war, the work of the accumulative mandatory pension system will begin,” she said at the forum on the digitalization of the social sphere Global Digital Social Forum 2024: Empower community in slaughterhouse in Kyiv.
According to the ministry’s infographic, the joint pension will include basic and insurance based on points and the amount of contributions.
As reported earlier in September, the First Deputy Minister of Social Policy of Ukraine Daria Marchak reported that the reform of the solidarity pension system has been developed and is being discussed with the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine, and the Minister of Social Policy Oksana Zholnovych said that the department plans to implement the accumulative pension system from 2026.
In September 2023, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal announced that a reform of the joint pension system would be carried out in 2024.
In October 2023, the Minister of Social Policy, Oksana Zholnovich, said that the government would prepare the entire infrastructure for the accumulative pension system by 2025, but if the war continues, it will be possible to launch it only after victory.
