Until April 16, 2022, the competition of fantasy novels from the literary platform “Booknet” and the publishing house “ACCA“. The prize for the winners is the publication of a novel and a fee of 10,000 hryvnias. More information – here.
“We accept mystical fantasy novels for the competition, where mysteries and riddles do not lend themselves to logical explanation, but are written in the context of reality. Despite the mysticism of the events, the story unfolds in the real world, in ordinary reality. Stories that organically combine elements of real and imaginary, everyday and mythical, real and mystical,” the organizers write.
An important clarification regarding the novel’s chronotope: “Events can take place elsewhere in Ukraine in our world: in a city, village, forest, mountains, sea, river… The author’s fictional worlds are not allowed, but an alternative history is possible. The past (not earlier than the beginning of the 20th century) and the present, not the future.”
Only works written in the original language are accepted for the competition Ukrainian. We do not accept translations from any languages, in particular from Russian.
For the competition do not accept works with an age limit of 18+, as well as non-fiction, fantasy, fan fiction, romance novels of any subgenre.
Booklet is the largest Ukrainian self-publishing platform, where both novice and well-known authors are published. The platform also cooperates with publishing houses (“Fabula”, “KSD“, “ACSA”), selling their e-books and holding joint literary contests.
