Steve Jobs’ widow spent three days in Kyiv

Date:

The purpose of the visit is to record an interview with Volodymyr Zelensky for the magazine owned by the billionaire.

Last week, on March 15, the capital was visited by the widow of the founder of the American Apple corporation Steve Jobs – American entrepreneur, philanthropist and owner of The Atlantic magazine Lauren Powell Jobs.

She visited Kyiv in the company of magazine editor Jeff Goldberg and historian Ann Applebaum. Together they met with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi. Their conversation was related to the IT sphere. In particular, they talked about countering Russian cyberattacks; about projects related to drones and about the benefits of the IT industry in Ukraine after the war.

Afterwards, the participants of the meeting asked the president several questions for the latest issue of the magazine.

Loren Jobs talked about the visit on his Facebook Serhiy Leshchenko, freelance adviser to the head of the OP Andriy Yermak. According to him, the businesswoman did not advertise her trip.

“This visit was an act for the billionaire, considering that not even all male politicians dare to visit Kyiv now. She traveled halfway around the world from Palo Alto in Silicon Valley and broke the rule of international leaders who do not stay in the capital for more than 12 hours. Lorraine Jobs spent almost three days in Kyiv, heard air raid alarms dozens of times, and met with the country’s leadership,” Leshchenko wrote.
