A human foot has not set foot on the moon for 50 years. That may change soon

Date:

The Apollo missions continue to add to our knowledge of the Moon and Earth. Scientists used samples of lunar soil collected Apollo astronauts, to show that growing plants on the moon, although difficult, is possible.

In May, NASA researchers began a thorough study samples of intact lunar rocks and soil from the Apollo 17 mission to look for hints of the Moon’s past conditions and chemicals important for life. Then, in November, a new era of lunar missions began with the launch of NASA’s mission Artemis I. NASA hopes to land humans on the moon in 2025 to pick up where the Apollo 17 astronauts left off.
