Zelensky signed the decree on awarding the Shevchenko Prize

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, signed a decree awarding the 2023 Taras Shevchenko National Prize of Ukraine.

Appropriate Decree No. 454/2023 posted on the website of the head of the Ukrainian state.

The document states that the prize laureates were the poet Kateryna Kalytko for the book of poems “Order of Silent Women”; performers of the band “Horeya Kozatska” Taras Kompanichenko, Maksym Berezhnyuk, Severyn Danileyko, Yaroslav Krysko and Serhii Okhrimchuk – for the audio album “Songs of the Ukrainian Revolution”; literary critic Mykhailo Nazarenko – for the book “Except for Kobzar”. Anthology of Ukrainian literature. 1792-1883″ in two parts.

In addition, the Shevchenko Prize was awarded to journalist Vitaly Portnikov for journalistic articles and speeches in recent years, as well as to director Iryna Tsylyk for the documentary film “The Earth is Blue, Like an Orange”.

In 2023, the amount of the premium is set at UAH 429,000.
