The Ukrainian delegation has started work on ensuring the stay of the national team in the Olympic Village in Paris (France), the National Olympic Committee (NOC) reports.
“On July 16, the Ukrainian team led by the chief of mission of the national team of Ukraine, Lyudmila Panchenko, spent the first busy working day in the capital of France as part of the Games of the XXXIII Olympiad in Paris-2024,” the NOC said in a statement.
It is noted that the delegation successfully passed accreditation and registered all 140 Ukrainian sportsmen and women who will soon arrive at the Olympics to participate in the Games.
All pre-announced officials, coaches, technical and administrative personnel who will ensure the participation of the Ukrainian team in the Olympics are also allowed to participate.
In addition, the places of residence of the team in the Olympic village of Paris and other cities where the athletes and members of the delegation will be located have been confirmed, namely in the city of Chatur (shotgun and trap shooting), in Lyon and Saint-Etienne (football).
According to the report, work is currently underway with the services of the Games organizing committee for the athletes’ meeting, as well as the arrangement of the team’s office, medical center and equipment center.
The Summer Olympic Games in Paris will be held from July 26 to August 11. Ukrainian athletes received 124 licenses to participate in the 2024 Olympics in Paris.
The Ukrainian national team will be represented in 26 out of 32 disciplines: badminton, boxing, freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling, breaking, weightlifting, cycling (mountain bike and road), rowing slalom, academic rowing and rowing on kayaks and canoes, gymnastics, artistic gymnastics, judo, athletics, artistic swimming, swimming, rock climbing, diving, archery, bench shooting, shot put, modern pentathlon, tennis, table tennis, fencing and football.
