Banks issued 288,000 cards for state cashback payments

As of Wednesday, Ukrainian banks have issued 288,000 cards, which will receive compensation under the national cashback program. reported Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yulia Svyridenko.

“In two days, our partner banks (state programs of the National Cashback – IF-U), which are, in fact, all the largest banks in our country, issued a total of 288,000 cards,” she said on the air of the national telethon “Edyny Novyni” on Wednesday

According to Svyridenko, more than 600 manufacturers have joined the state program and registered 63,000 products in the system.

“At the time of the launch of the program, nine retail chains have already accrued cashback, and another 40 are in the process of joining,” said the first vice-premier.

She reminded that the cashback program started on September 2 in the mode of beta testing, which will approximately last about a month.

As reported, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine at its meeting on August 20 approved the procedure for providing “National Cashback”, according to which Ukrainians will be able to receive compensation of 10% of the cost of the goods they purchased. The maximum amount of cashback is UAH 3,000/month, the funds can be spent on medical and communal services, sports, movies, train tickets, donations to the Armed Forces or buying military bonds.
