Yuri Brodsky, the youngest son of a businessman and a mug of Yanukovych’s time of Mikhail Brodsky, lost a court to journalists who wrote about his connection with the drug trafficking. UA2Day learned this from the decision of the Darnytsky District Court of Kiev.
The case was listened to 5 years. Since 2019, Yuri Brodsky has suffered to the Voice of Voice. Journalists argued that, when reprinted by the material previously published on the Internet, they intended to promote discussion of political issues that were of considerable interest to the public. They also argued that the plaintiff did not take any steps to resolve the dispute with them, despite the fact that they invited any person who had to do their comments before the publication.
According to the case file, the plaintiff acknowledges that he is the son of a well -known public person who conducts public and political activity, and accordingly the limit of permissible criticism and the amount of widespread information about him is much broader because he directly plays an important role in the activity of Mikhail Brodsky’s father But his direct actions are of public interest as a son of a public person. The court decided that the content of the common information did not see that such information disgraces the plaintiff’s honor and dignity, detrimental to his business reputation.
Brodsky’s claim was denied.
