Botox thieves were caught in the center of Kyiv

Date:

Metropolitan police detained two “connoisseurs” of cosmetic procedures.

Two thieves made their way to a beauty salon on Bastionnaya, where they stole “beauty injections” and manicure equipment. The investigative and operative group of the Pechersk Department and the criminal police arrived at the scene of the crime.

The law enforcement officers found out that two unknown persons got into the salon at night by squeezing the metal-plastic window. Cosmetic preparations for injections and manicure equipment were stolen from the premises.

As the Kyiv police said, thanks to video surveillance cameras, operatives quickly identified and detained the thieves. They turned out to be natives of Kyiv region and Donetsk region, born in 1976 and 1973, who had previously been held criminally liable for theft.

The police searched the place of residence of the detainees, where they seized material evidence. The investigators informed the men of the suspicion under Part 4 of Art. 185 of the Criminal Code — theft committed under martial law.

Thieves face five to eight years in prison. Both will be in custody during the investigation.

Earlier, the capital’s police searched for and detained a man who stole money from a donation box for the Armed Forces. A thief broke into a charity fund box on Khreshchatyk and stole five thousand hryvnias from there.
