Mercuryo has introduced a new solution for cryptocurrency payments — the Spend debit card. Their multi-chain debit card with Mastercard payment system allows users to spend cryptocurrency directly from their wallets at a network of over 90 million Mastercard locations.
As is noted in a company release, Spend integrates with Apple Pay and Google Pay. Also, the card is compatible with various blockchains, including Ethereum, Solana, Injective, Near, ZKsync, Polkadot, TON and others.
The company positions Spend as an alternative to traditional methods of withdrawing funds from cryptocurrency (off-ramping), offering a faster and more convenient way to use crypto-assets.
The process of registering and issuing a card is instant, within a few seconds. Users can maintain separate balances for their wallet and Spend card. Spend allows you to instantly convert cryptocurrency to fiat for use on your card.
The card is currently available for users in the European Economic Area (EEA). Mercuryo plans to expand the availability of Spend to other regions of the world.
