Date:

Employees of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) conduct searches from a member of the High Qualifications Commission of Judges (SCCS) Vladimir Luganski because of allegedly fake documents about a scientific degree, told Interfax-Ukraine a source in the judiciary.

“In the morning of Thursday, investigative actions took place at home in Lugansk, at the moment the search is conducted in the office,” the agency’s interlocutor said.

According to the source, it is about receiving payments on the basis of probably fake document on the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in the field of law.

In 2011, Lugansk allegedly won the Doctor of Philosophy in MAUP. However, at that time, this educational institution “did not refer to the subjects of issuing diplomas of Doctor of Philosophy”, that is, had no right to issue them at all.

At the same time, according to the resolution of the Lugansk District Administrative Court, the supplement of Lugansk for a degree was 15% of the salary of the judge. During his work from April 21, 2015 to September 30, 2020, he received at least 160 074 UAH.
