The official of the state enterprise, which dismantled the airfield in Zaporizhzhia, was informed of the suspicion

Under the procedural guidance of the prosecutors of the Prosecutor General’s Office, the acting director of the State Educational and Industrial Institute of the Aviation Profile “Zaporizi Flight Training Center named after Marshal of Aviation O.I.” was notified of the suspicion. Pokryshkina” in the embezzlement of property in particularly large amounts.

According to the investigation, the suspect, involving third parties with specialized equipment, carried out the illegal dismantling of 398 airfield plates “PAG-14”, which were located in the taxiway structures. Parking spaces for aviation equipment of the airfield were also dismantled.

In the future, the dismantled airfield slabs were sold to interested parties. The suspect disposed of the received funds at his own discretion. In this way, state property was squandered in the total amount of almost 3 million hryvnias.

As a result of such actions of the head of the state enterprise, the airfield cannot be used for its intended purpose – for the takeoff and landing of aircraft of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Currently, the question of selecting a preventive measure for the suspect and removing him from office is being resolved.

The pre-trial investigation is carried out by investigators of the Main Investigative Department of the National Police of Ukraine under the operational support of SBU officers.
