The President of Lithuania Gitanas Nauseda arrived on an unannounced visit to Kyiv, reported his press office on June 28.
Nauseda plans to discuss with Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelenskyi the agenda of the NATO summit in Vilnius, the issue of Ukraine’s negotiations on membership in the European Union, as well as the assistance of Lithuania and the EU to Ukraine.
“President Nauseda arrived in Kyiv from The Hague, where yesterday at the meeting of the heads of seven states he discussed further support for Ukraine. From Kyiv, the President of Lithuania will go to Brussels, where the meeting of the Council of European Leaders will begin on Thursday,” the website of the Lithuanian head of state informs.
In addition, the President of Lithuania will take part in events on the occasion of the 27th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of Ukraine.
