The situation with light in Ukraine

Electricity consumption has increased in Ukraine due to the start of the working week. At the same time, the deficit in the energy system remains significant.

The power system is reportedly still recovering from a previous series of Russian missile attacks that damaged power plant units. As a result, electricity production at operating power plants cannot fully cover consumption.

Consumption limits have been established for all oblenergos, which apply throughout the day. Currently, emergency shutdowns are not used. However, if the limits are exceeded in the regions, they may be used.

In addition, the restoration of energy infrastructure facilities damaged during the massive attack on January 26 is ongoing. Several power units of power plants were taken out for repairs over the weekend.
