There are two ways to react to incorrect entries.
The other day, media personality Natalka Makogon wrote a post on her Facebook page about the fact that she found in her electronic office “Helsi” a note about an appointment with a doctor who was not there. The post caused a great discussion and publicized the problem — such an intrusion into personal accounts was noticed by many Ukrainians.
So the Ministry of Health prepared a detailed response. First of all, it was explained that “Helsi” is only one of many information systems that help connect doctors with the central database of the Electronic Health Care System. It is through such systems that doctors enter data about the services provided to the patient into the EHS. And patients can use them to track data about their health.
Most of the records that patients consider “incorrect” are actually appointments during which vaccinations, procedures, or medical board examinations, etc., were performed. So doctors ask not to confuse them with fake visits.
National Health Service of Ukraine analyzes each record and detects inconsistencies. According to statistics, about 10% of target records are withdrawn from payment.
Last year alone, 16,670 duplicate records were discovered on the “prime” – this allowed us to avoid overpayments of more than 5 million hryvnias.
More than half a million patient death records were also reviewed. Thanks to this, the funds were not spent on services for “dead souls”. This made it possible to redistribute 158 million hryvnias
Therefore, if you notice a fake visit in your personal account, there are two steps to solve it:
- File a complaint with the National Health Service at number 16-77, or at link
- Or make a written complaint directly to the management of the medical facility where the visit was recorded.
These actions will help the state to respond more quickly and send monitoring teams to medical institutions that receive numerous complaints.
Each complaint is checked and in case of a possible violation, it is also transferred to law enforcement agencies.
