The security service neutralized the interregional network of pro-Kremlin Internet agitators. It included six propagandists who carried out informational and subversive activities in favor of the occupiers.
The attackers publicly supported the Russian armed aggression against Ukraine and called for changing the borders of our state.
To do this, they created several accounts in social networks, including those banned in Ukraine.
Most of the destructive content was “picked up” from the Internet resources of the aggressor country.
Yes, in Kyiv:
the leading engineer of the aviation security division of the state-owned enterprise “Antonov” was detained.
On the Russian Internet platforms “Vkontakte” and “Odnoklassniki”, he periodically distributed videos of Kadyrov’s speeches, which called for the “joining” of captured regions of Ukraine to the Russian Federation.
In the Ivano-Frankivsk region:
a resident of Kalush was sentenced to 5 years and 6 months in prison, who justified Russian aggression and offered to hand over the “main Bandera residents” to the Russian invaders.
In Transcarpathia:
a resident of Berehiv district who justified pseudo-referendums in captured areas in the south and east of our country was detained.
In addition, two hostile agitators from Belarus who had residence permits in Ukraine were exposed in the region.
According to the investigation, they created several propaganda accounts on social networks, which were used to discredit the Defense Forces and incite anti-Semitic sentiments in the region.
In Zaporizhzhia:
the suspicion was reported to a local resident who praised the Russian occupiers and justified their crimes against civilians in his reposts and Internet publications.
All the exposed facts are being investigated within the framework of criminal proceedings under three articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine:
- 110 (encroachment on the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine);
- 161 (violation of the equality of citizens depending on their racial, national, regional belonging, religious beliefs, disability and on other grounds);
- 436-2 (justification, recognition as legitimate, denial of armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, glorification of its participants).
Crime detection measures were carried out by SBU officers in the city of Kyiv and Kyiv Oblast, Volyn, Zakarpattia, Zaporizhzhya, and Ivano-Frankivsk Oblasts together with the National Police under the procedural guidance of the prosecutor’s office.
