The police of Odesa found and detained the bandits who shot the wounded man

Date:

the hunters – a 46-year-old man from Odessa and a 29-year-old man from Izmail – entered the entrepreneur’s establishment and, regardless of the presence of visitors, pounced on two workers with their fists. When they tried to fight back, the older assailant started brandishing a knife, and the younger one fired several shots from a traumatic weapon, hitting one of the men in the head.

“Law enforcement quickly identified the offenders, but they, realizing the illegal nature of their actions and the inevitability of punishment, began to hide. Based on the availability of sufficient evidence, investigators under the procedural guidance of the Primorye District Prosecutor’s Office of the city of Odesa informed the participants in absentia about the suspicion of hooliganism and declared them wanted. Recently, offenders were searched in one of the border settlements of Odesa region. According to the conclusion of the forensic medical examination, the younger offender caused the victim a moderate injury, which is not life-threatening, therefore he was informed of the suspicion also of the crime provided for in Part 1 of Art. 122 of the Criminal Code, which qualifies as intentional bodily harm of moderate severity. At the request of the investigators, the court chose a preventive measure in the form of detention for the suspect. The maximum punishment that criminals face is seven years of imprisonment,” Vladyslav Arkusha, the investigator of Police Department No. 2 of Odesa District Police Department No. 1, said.
