Border troops and fortifications have been strengthened in the regions bordering the Russian Federation and Belarus. And this process will continue – Zelensky

Date:

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi statedthat border troops and fortifications have already been strengthened in all regions of the country bordering Russia and Belarus, and this process will continue.

“As far as security is concerned, the situation is completely clear to us: the intimidation to intimidate (the population – IF-U) of the Volyn region and this direction by the Russians, it may continue informationally, but I want to tell you that the fortifications (we have – IF-U) are serious,” Zelenskyi said during a conversation with entrepreneurs in the Volyn region.

Thus, according to him, the contingent of Belarusian troops in the Volyn direction is up to 5 thousand people. “I won’t say all the details, but here – from our side – there is a strong defense both in terms of personnel and in the defensive lines. Just as we had a corresponding decision regarding the increase of border guards, we will not talk either,” the president said.

“But all regions that have borders with the enemy, with the Russians, as well as those that have a border with Belarus, should know that the increase in border guards has been done. And in the process, we continue to strengthen,” he added.

The head of state also called on the residents of the region to trust official sources of information first of all.
