The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and the Sejm (Parliament) of Latvia are conducting negotiations on the creation of a parliamentary assembly, the speaker of the Rada, Ruslan Stefanchuk, said.
“We have started negotiations between the delegations of the Verkhovna Rada and Latvia. And I think that in the near future we will carry out all the preparatory measures for the future formation of the Parliamentary Assembly of Ukraine and Latvia”, – said Stefanchuk at a joint briefing with the head of the Latvian Seimas Daiga Mierine on Wednesday in Riga.
Stefanchuk is visiting Latvia, where the 3rd parliamentary summit of the Crimean Platform will be held.
