Fan shutdowns will not be needed if the Russians do not damage any more objects of the Ukrainian energy industry.
The head of the Ministry of Energy Herman Galushchenko told about this on the air of the telethon.
“Now the energy system is operating in a deficit-free mode. For the third week already, we have been providing electricity production in full in accordance with consumption. We have the appropriate reserves, and we plan to continue to support our energy system in such a way that people do not experience supply restrictions,” the minister said.
However, as Galushchenko noted, local outages are likely in order to carry out scheduled repairs on power grids.
At the same time, the Ministry predicts a stable situation with energy supply in the near future and hopes that the limits will no longer be needed. If there is a stable surplus of electricity, Ukraine will consider the possibility of resuming exports.
“This issue is on the table now. We used imports, this is a very important mechanism to increase electricity in our state. If we see a stable surplus of electricity in the system, the issue of export will certainly be considered,” Galushchenko said.
However, he noted that the key for now is to restore power as much as possible to regions where grids are still damaged.
