“Ukrenergo” completed more than half of the planned repair works in the Kudrytskyi network

Ukrenergo completed about 50-60% of the planned volume restoration works in the trunk network. This was announced by the chairman of the board of NEC “Ukrenergo” Volodymyr Kudrytskyi.

“There is still a lot of work ahead, but we have the human resources and the necessary equipment for it. At present, about 1.5 thousand of our specialists are working on restoration,” said the head of the company.

He added that “Ukrenergo» does everything possible for effective preparation power system until the autumn-winter period. In particular, it was possible to speed up the pace of restoration work by 5-6 times compared to peacetime.

For this, the company attracts international donors and actively works on finding and ordering new equipment to replace the destroyed one.

“Ukrenergo” has already accumulated about 900 million euros of financing in various forms (grants, loans, repurposing) for the restoration and preparation of the power system for the heating season.

Thanks to the signed memorandum with the EBRD, there is an opportunity to work on increasing this number in order to use these resources to prepare for winter.

Quote“Currently active negotiations are underway with the EBRD on this project. I will not prematurely name the exact figure, but we are talking about hundreds of millions of euros. I hope that in the coming weeks we will sign the agreement,” said Volodymyr Kudrytskyi.
